REACTION TO "BOROBUDUR DIPUTIHKAN"

"Apa? Borobudur dikepung oleh 200.000 orang dari 185 Laskar dari seluruh Nusantara? Borobudur diputihkan? Borobudur dikepung? Apa-apaan ini? Aksi Bela Rohingya? Mau balas dendam? Nyawa bayar nyawa?

Kapolri Tito Karnavian, di Mekah, terloncat berdiri karena mendengar kabar itu. Ia mempercepat jadwal pulangnya dari berhaji. Langsung terbang ke Jakarta. Malam tiba, dan langsung mengadakan rapat khusus dengan para perwira Mabes."

When we read the news, we felt "hot" as our first reaction. The news made us surprised. Also, our mind thought about negative content. Did it have something related to the Rohingya tragedy? And the people wanted to respond to the bad conduct to Moslem? 

From the word 'Borobudur diputihkan' at the first paragraph, we think that it was people’s action to stand upon Rohingya. We even wonder why they must stood around the Borobudur for demonstration? They could do something better. They could pray or give donation for Rohingya. Then, when we read the second paragraph, we think that this action was really critical. Why? Because even he was still in hajj, Kapolri Tito went back to Indonesia quickly. So, it must be very important thing to follow up that action.  

After we read the news completely, we were missled by the news. At first in our opinion, the news talked about demonstration. Apparently, it was about people who wanted to pray together for Rohingya. 

So what I get from this news is to read until the end of the paragraph and don’t think negative about something. Like now, many people get emotional just because they read the title of the news but they didn’t read all the news and I think thats why Mr.Emha write this news with a bombastic title to make people read the article until end. And I think this is the most tricky article that I ever read because this article make me stay read until the end of the paragraph.
